Our Lady of Kibeho Church has been operating a "Soup Kitchen" (Oblate Sisters of Providence Diner) aka OSP Diner, since 2005, in the Community Center, located behind the Ministry Center (112th & Bishop, Chicago). This facility services the community on Wednesday each week. The OSP Diner is a Ministry of the Church and is fully run by volunteers. All of the current volunteers are retired members of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church or members of nearby Churches. Approximately 25 Volunteers work weekly to serve 50 plus clients (including children) each week. Meals are planned monthly and include seasonal foods. The ultimate goal is to be able to serve the community a hot nutritious meal. The OSP Diner receives the majority of food that is served from the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

The Annual Hunger Walk for the Greater Chicago Food Depository raises funds to support the OSP Diner.

A licensed Nutritionist visits the program two to three times during the year to discuss nutrition issues with clients.
Volunteer duties include: cooking, stocking food delivery, shopping for fresh food, set-up, cleaning tables, setting up chairs, table ware, serving clients meals and clean up all areas.

Catherine Hart has been the Coordinator of the OSP Diner since March 2014. Currently due to Covid-19, we only serve Carry out meals. We serve approximately 100 clients weekly.
